Long-Term Care Insurance Resource Center
In
2006, Action for Older Persons (AOP) opened Broome County’s official Long-Term
Care Resource Center, a community education and resource center for individuals
of all ages who are interested in planning for a successful and comfortable
life as they age. The center features a resource library of printed
and visual materials on a variety of long-term care topics and payment options.
The center also offers informative seminars, as well as free, unbiased,
and confidential counseling to help you put a plan in place to pay for long-
term care that may include long-term care insurance. With no sales
pitch, the Long-Term Care Resource Center assists you with:
- Preserving Assets
- Maintaining Independence
- Improving Quality of Life
- Easing Burden on Loved Ones
- Understanding Choices and Care Options
This program is supported with funding by the New York State Office for Aging and the Long-Term Care Insurance Education & Outreach Program. New York State does not endorse or recommend any specific insurance product or insurer; this program is solely intended to educate consumers about their choices.
